Sunday School : 9:00am
Sunday Message: Join us for Worship at 10:30am
Whether you are new to Christianity or a lifelong follower of Christ, Oakland Community Church has various resources to learn and grow in your faith.
The Great Commandment is to go out and connect with the World!
One year after our dismissal from the UMC building and 10 years after the bankruptcy, we now have the opportunity to return to our roots to build a new church for a new generation! Learn more about our past, our vision for the future, and how you can help!
As the Christmas season is coming
Let us celebrate the season together
We would be honored to have your and your family to take part in one or all of our Christmas traditions and wish you a blessed Christmas and happy New Year.
Oakland is now meeting at the Independent Fire Hall in Ranson, WV. The move from Mildred Street has provided us with a lot more space right at a time when physical distancing is important to protect against the spread of the virus. With separate tables allowing families to sit together and a special area for toddlers and preschoolers to play, the space is perfect for us. Worship starts at 10:30, but coffee and prepackaged snacks are available starting at 10:15. We hope you’ll join us for worship.
God bless!
JoAnne
We will be meeting at 10:30 am at Independent Fire Hall, located at 200 West 2nd Avenue, Ranson, West Virginia.
If you are high-risk or nervous about getting out, please feel free to meet us at Facebook where we will continue streaming.
If you are looking for a richer fuller life now, free from guilt and shame, and with the assurance that you will have eternal life in Heaven when you die, we invite you to understand these simple truths.
At the top of the Prayer Mountain, neglected now for the last 10 years, this cross still serves as a reminder of the hopes and plans we had for a community worship center on these 7 acres of the former Dailey Farm.
Join us next summer as we trace the life of Jesus from his home in Galilee to Jerusalem, giving particular attention to the First Century Jewish context in which Jesus lived. Our goal is a better understanding of Jesus' ministry and a better application of His teachings for us today.
We are now meeting at Independent Fire Hall.
