Every year we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, the central message of the Christian faith. Without it, scripture says we are without hope. But many Christians don't believe in a literal bodily resurrection because they've never examined the evidence for it. This class will change that!

One of the most interesting and astounding possible proofs for the resurrection of Jesus is the Shroud of Turin and the Sudarium of Oviedo, the burial cloth and face cloth believed to be from the tomb of Jesus. We will take a closer look. Come join the discussion!

After Work Friday Dinners: Upcoming: May 22 at 6:30- Picnic style
Once a month Oakland hosts an after work Friday Dinner... FREE. Each month has a different theme (so far we've had lasagna, a mac n cheese bake off, and spaghetti) with the May 22nd Dinner to be picnic foods outside under the tent. The community is always invited to participate. June 12 will be the next one with fried chicken!

Oakland is now meeting at the Independent Fire Hall in Ranson, WV. With separate tables allowing families to sit together and a special area for toddlers and preschoolers to play, the space works for us as we finalize plans for our new building . Worship starts at 10:30, but coffee and breakfast items are available starting at 10:15. We hope you’ll join us for worship!
