As an alternative, Oakland is pleased to offer our members SmartWill (by Engiven) at no cost. Designed to handle simple will creation and complex estate planning, SmartWill is a one-stop-shop for individuals wanting to ensure both their loved ones and cherished organizations are supported.
SmartWill is a will-creation service that Oakland members can access online to create a personal will that is legally executable in all 50 states–typically in less than 15 minutes.
Additionally, the process allows individuals to establish medical and financial powers of attorney if desired.
Members create an account with Engiven where they are walked through the entire process by answering a series of questions. Once completed download and print your will and have it notarized (Jill Schweitzer can assist you with this). You can access your account at any time to make future changes.
